Vladimirov Sergey Isydorovych
1907 – 1981
A Ukrainian and Russian artist. Born at the station of Znamenka, Kirovograd region. From 1936 till 1941 he studied at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in St. Petersburg under the guidance of B. Iohanson and V. Serov. He was a member of republican and all-union exhibitions since 1940. He was a member of the Artist Union of the USSR. He completed his major series of works "People from the shores of Danube in the struggle for their Motherland" (1944 - 1945). Since 1942 he lived in Simferopol. He taught at the Crimean Art School named after M. Samokish (1942 - 1952). He mainly painted landscapes of the Crimea. His works are stored in Simferopol Art Museum and in other museums of Ukraine and Russia.
